EASY TO USE to strain liquid from a saucepan (for instance to strain vegetables, pasta, or liquid from garbanzos in a can). Works MUCH better than using a colander or trying to hold the lid partially against the pan. It's now easy to clip it on the pan, but took me a time of two of practice.

I strongly recommend these strainers. They let you avoid having to dirty a colander or sieve, which is always nice.
I make rice in my Instant Pot at least twice a week. Like many people, I rinse the rice before I cook it. These strainers let me rinse the rice right in the Instant Pot pot. The clips fit easily over the flared rim of the pot. you can adjust the closeness of the fit between the strainer and the inner rim of the pot by nudging the clamps closer together or farther apart

This is great for anything you cook in water that needs to be trained. I have used it for corn, pasta, and potatoes. You just clip it to the rim of your pot and voila, you have a strainer. Fits any pot/pan. I have used it on multiple sizes. So far it has not leaked and does not take up space like your traditional colander. Very sturdy. I have not had any issues.
